    Tohoku is the northeastern region of Japan, It is divided into six Prefectures and it is the largest island In Japan. In ancient times it was named as Azuma located in Honshu, Tohoku started to form near 9th century. Many historical Japanese wars were fought in the region and it has many historical sites to explore. Major parts of region consists on hilly and mountain areas. In the east of the region is Pacific Ocean and in the west side it borders The Sea Of Japan (The East Sea).

    Sadly in 2011 Tohoku faced frightening situations when it was struck with a massive landscape and a tsunami. People had to suffer a lot and the fixation of damage caused by these took Months to complete. And still the region is being revived to its Previous Glory.
